Santa Monica Proper is seeking a motivated, service-driven Assistant Front Office Manager to join the team at our 271-room property featuring interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space. 

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the 
Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for assisting in overseeing all aspects of front office operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and efficient hotel management. 

Job Overview
  • Communicate daily with department heads regarding areas of concern
  • Resolve any guest or property related situation and manages the flow of questions and directs guests within the lobby
  • Assume responsibility for supervision of the Hotel property and all Colleagues on the overnight shift in the absence of department heads
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments including housekeeping, engineering, and food and beverage to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate guest arrivals, departures, and billing requirements
  • Ensure accurate room assignments and billing processes
  • Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with team members across all departments

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Front Desk experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment
• Able to work at least two overnight shifts per week, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Able to work under pressure
• Dependable and detail-oriented
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in Windows, Office, and property management systems highly desirable

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
