Savory is looking for a forward-thinking, hands-on Assistant Controller for one of our portfolio brands.
As the Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations walso supporting broader finance initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Director of Finance and the leadership team to ensure accurate financial reporting, drive operational efficiencies, and provide critical insights that power strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Support financial modeling and analysis to drive operational and strategic decisions
Help build and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting systems
Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties as needed
Mentor and develop junior finance and accounting staff as we grow
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track preferred)
4+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally in a growing, multi-unit environment (F&B, manufacturing, CPG, or hospitality experience a plus)
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
Hands-on experience with financial planning, budgeting, and cash management
Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems; strong Excel skills
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Positive, team-first mindset with a desire to learn and grow
