Savory is looking for a forward-thinking, hands-on Director of Supply Chain for one of our portfolio brands.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process—ensuring alignment with organizational goals while enhancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic policies, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing inventory levels to support both daily operations and future growth. The Director will collaborate with executive leadership to provide critical updates on sourcing, procurement, and logistics, and will lead a high-performing team focused on innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Inventory Management
Collaborate cross-functionally to assess and meet supply chain resource needs.
Define and monitor performance metrics to evaluate supply chain effectiveness.
Develop and maintain accurate inventories of materials, goods, and supplies.
Ensure optimal supply levels to support ongoing operations and business continuity.
Analyze existing inventory practices and recommend enhancements to improve profitability and efficiency.
Develop and implement policies that improve supply chain operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Identify and manage efficient transportation and distribution solutions.
Product Procurement
Provide leadership with regular updates on procurement activities across new and existing locations.
Contribute to product development discussions by advising on supply availability and material costs.
Oversee supply chain readiness for new product launches or product changes to ensure seamless transitions.
Relationship Management & Negotiation
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers.
Design and oversee a vendor management program to ensure supplier performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Evaluate vendor capabilities, conduct performance assessments, and identify opportunities for improvement or new supplier partnerships.
Partner with finance teams to monitor vendor invoicing, validate compliance with contract terms, and resolve billing discrepancies.
The Ideal Candidate:Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or end-to-end supply chain management
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic reporting tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication
A collaborative mindset and solution-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Leadership skills to guide and influence cross-functional teams
Willingness to pursue ongoing training and certifications as needed
Valid driver's license
Ability to travel up to 20% as required
