We are looking for a Maitre'd to join our team and be the face and main point of contact for our guests.
Job Brief:
Maitre'd responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to their seats. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Welcome guests to the venue
Providing accurate wait times to walk ins and monitoring reservations
Escort customers to their seats based upon reservations
Coordinate with staff about available seating options
Pouring water for customers & taking drink orders
Provide menus and announce Chef's name
Set and clear tables in between seatings
Greet customers upon their departure
Maintain a clean reception area
Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
Address customers’ queries
Prepare checks for customers
Requirements:
Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Maitre'D
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Experience in managing reservations
Demonstrable customer-service skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining area
Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
Love working in a fast paced environment
Be outgoing and social with customers
Have a fun, positive and pleasant demeanor
High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus
