Front of House Host (Receptionist) – SeaSpace, Cornwall | Guest Services, Hotel Experience

Our Front of House Host role:

Being ready with a smile for those early risers, sharing a top tip for a sunset stroll, and always bringing the energy… that’s hosting at SeaSpace.

From first hello to see-you-soon, you’ll be the heart of the guest experience and all that comes with it. Whether checking in on the desk or helping in the café/deli, this is a role that’s full of variety.  

We’re looking for someone hands-on with the work and happy to get stuck in solo. Your friendly energy and positive outlook will mean everyone wants you on their team. For guests, your eagerness and insight translate to feeling really cared about and looked after at every turn. You’re always willing to help and keep a cool head when the pressure mounts, putting people, and their happiness first.

Please note this is a zero hour contract and we’re looking for a flexible team member for this part time role. You’ll predominantly work weekends but cover some weekdays too along with public holidays. You will support alongside teams in other departments stepping in to help as and when you are required.

As our Front of House Host you’ll be:

• Giving excellent customer service, making sure all SeaSpace visitors are greeted with a positive first impression.
• You’ll stay on top of responsibilities and complete daily tasks on time.
• You’ll always think customer first.
• Check guests in and out if needed.
• Host across swim/gym club and reception.
• Support the café/deli during busy times
• Keep you space in shape, with a clean, tidy working area
• Listen to guest complaints, liaise with the right people to resolve, or escalate to House Manager

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

• A bright and positive personality
• A guest focussed attitude
• An eye for prioritising tasks with great time management.
• Excellent communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of the local area and amenities to help with recommendations.

It would also be great if you have previous experience of using a front of house system, and/or a food & beverage management systems.
