Assistant Manager - Event & Bookings Coordinator

We are a brand new freshly refurbished town centre young's pub in the heart of east Grinstead. We offer premium drinks and fresh British food in a warm and welcoming setting at the top of the High Street.
We have a large private outside space with a burger shack and a full draught outside bar, a warm modern style interior with plenty of cosy nooks with log burners for the winter.

What we look for in a Booking Co-ordinator:

We are looking for a motivated & experienced bookings co-ordinator to join and lead our team in our stylish, food focused pub. As the successful Assistant Manager you will have a genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro-active approach to team management. You will be enthusiastic & driven to continue the success of our pub and play a pivotal part in training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers.  You will also be someone who is committed to their career in hospitality and we can offer ongoing development to support you as you grow and succeed with us. 

Role Overview:

The Pub Booking Coordinator manages all customer bookings and event enquiries for the pub, including table reservations, private functions, parties, and special events. The role involves coordinating with management, kitchen, and bar staff to ensure bookings run smoothly and guests receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle telephone, email, and online booking enquiries
  • Manage reservation systems and booking calendars
  • Coordinate private events, group bookings, and functions
  • Confirm booking details and communicate customer requirements to staff
  • Assist with event planning, seating arrangements, and special requests
  • Maintain accurate booking records and customer information
  • Support promotional events and seasonal campaigns
  • Resolve customer queries or booking issues professionally
  • Ensure excellent customer service at all times
