Inside Crew Member Description:
A pizza maker assists the manager and assistant manager in the preparation of all products on the menu.
Characteristics/Qualifications: Must be able to follow directions in preparation of menu items. Must be dedicated, honest, a hard worker, oriented toward customer service, and able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
(i) Make and cut pizzas.
(ii) Able to work the pizza table as a middle or lead position. On a busy night there may be three people running the pizza table, and the responsibilities shift.
- The leader could start and sauce the pizza.
- The middle pizza maker would add the cheese.
- The third pizza maker would make sure all items are on the pizza and take the pizza to the oven.
(iii) Make salads, etc.
(iv) Responsible for prepping and closing on a daily basis.
(v) Run register and greet people. (vi) Answer phones – sometimes as many as 4 or 5 lines.
(vii) Clean up.
Morning Prep Help Description:
Morning prep is making all the dough needed for the day. Also all prep work (ex: chopping veggies, grinding cheese, make sauce, etc.) during morning prep.
Characteristics/Qualifications: Pleasant and polite to customers at all times. Must be dedicated, honest, a hard worker, oriented toward customer service, and able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
(i) Primary responsibility is dealing with customers—taking payment, making change and delivering food order.
(ii) Performs cashier and other clerical duties.
(iii) Prepares for the rush.
(iv) Prepares dough for square pizza.
(v) Prepares salads.
(vi) Prepares and stores all veggies for the pizza.
(vii) Fills containers of pizza toppings and stores the remainder of toppings in the cooler.
(viii) Prepares and sets-up for the lunch rush. (ix) Prepares and sets-up for the dinner rush.
(x) Cleans up the back make station area.
(xi) Fills the pop cooler during slow times and also aids any other position if possible.
(xii) If necessary, the cashier should be familiar with the cut side in order to provide relief if needed.
(xiii) Keeps the lobby and counter clean.
