Steak n Shake’s Distribution Manager Supply Chain understands the
company vision and mission and within that framework plays a critical role in
supporting restaurants and retail outlets by managing the supply of products
and services to the Steak n Shake system.
Primary and On-Going Accountabilities
- Establishes and maintains relationships with restaurant
and retail SNS partners and all external parties that supply products or
services to the Steak ‘n Shake Restaurants and consumer retail outlets
- Supports new product launches, Retail products, LTOs,
for in restaurant, pricing communications and both seasonal and
forecasting on all supplies
- Works in the Arrowstream system to monitor inventory,
safety stock levels, obsolescence, price discrepancy and mitigates
potential exposure.
- Supports Sr. Director in the design and implementation
methods to gather and manage supply chain data and improve service and
support to restaurants and retail outlets
- Proactively ensures ongoing, continuous uninterrupted
product supply to the restaurants and retail outlets
- Responds to urgent communications, issues or risk of
supply with high level of urgency
- Reviews and analyzes data to identify areas in the
supply chain for continuous improvement
- Works independently with minimal supervision. Drives
projects and maintains a high sense of urgency on identified projects,
goals and any potential risk to supply.
- Returns all emails and voice mails timely as required
- Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the
company’s values and standards
- Continuously looking for ways to increase professional
development
- Regular and punctual attendance, which includes
working normal business hours that support the restaurant’s needs
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- Travel as required, 10% of the time
Key Relationships
Interact daily with all members of the Supply Chain Team and Restaurant
Corporate Office. Frequent interactions with suppliers, National Sales
leadership for retail, field senior leadership team, finance team and other
Support Center employees.
Required Education and Experience
- Business or Supply Chain and or Logistics Degree or
equivalent work experience.
- Project Foodservice, Retail Distribution experience
preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in MS Office suite.
- 5-8 years of experience with the supply chain within
foodservice, restaurant and retail industry.
- Knowledge of supply chain software program,
Arrowstream.
