Description
The Role…

This position will be responsible for providing quality service to all guests who come to Ludlow House, and supporting the management team as needed.

Maintain all steps in the Customer Service program with each guest and employee you may come in contact with;
Performs opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations, clearing and re-setting up of tables, when necessary and checking tables before service is provided;
Servers act as the front lines for food & beverage service and will take orders, deliver food and clean up guests tables;
Ensure a guests order is correct and comes out of the kitchen on time;
Work as a team with bussers and food runners;
Performs all sequence of service duties in adherence to all company standards;
Respectfully entertain guests or members while following our Soho House Ethos;
Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment;
Has an upbeat, energetic, authentic and professional attitude at all times;
Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned station;
Ensure that all guests using the hotel facilities are completely satisfied and believe that they have received a tremendous value;
Develops relationships with guests in order to provide personalized service;
Resolve guest complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism; accommodating special requests whenever possible. Responds to guests’ requests in an accurate and timely manner; creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience;
Develop and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items;
Maintain, or preferable, exceed sales goals;
Undertake regular internal inspections to ensure company’s assets are well maintained and protected;
Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of employees, hotel guests and property, and responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency of safety situations;
Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality;
Ensuring compliance to all hotel policies and procedures at all levels;
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Passion for food & beverage
Must have a good memory
Ability to work in a friendly relaxing demeanour with quick customer service
Basic verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Expert in restaurant operations and excellent knowledge of all departments internally
Detail oriented
Flexible schedule
Be reliable and punctual
Basset & Food Handler Certified
Computer literacy to include: Micros
Participate in teamwork and assist other departments when needed
Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds
Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required
