DISHWASHER
Job Description
At Somewhere Nowhere (SWNW) we’re looking for happy, creative, energetic, ambitious, and positive people to join our team. The dishwasher must provide other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed and follow all sanitary and health-related protocols. Additional requirements below:
General Responsibilities
Complete opening and closing checklists
Operate the industrial dishwasher
Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
Empty and clean all trash receptacles
Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
Clean dish storage
Follow sanitation policies at all times
Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party
Remove labels and properly label all food items
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef/ Kitchen Manager
Required Skills
Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
High volume production, technical skills and multitasking required
Ability to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 40 lbs
Willingness to work in hot, humid environment and on your feet for 8 hour shifts
High level of professionalism
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
