As part of the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, Spago Maui blends island-inspired ingredients with the refined techniques and innovative spirit that define Chef Wolfgang Puck’s legendary brand. Position Summary:
The Pastry Cook supports the execution of plated desserts, breads, and house-made pastries, contributing to a menu that reflects both Hawaiian inspiration and Wolfgang Puck’s signature flair. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about the art of pastry.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a pastry cook OR completion of an accredited culinary/pastry arts program

  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn

  • Understanding of basic pastry techniques, measurements, and baking fundamentals

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of plated desserts, breads, and pastries according to recipes and standards

  • Support pastry production for service, banquets, and special events

  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry station

  • Uphold kitchen sanitation and food handling guidelines at all times

  • Work closely with the Pastry Chef and team to ensure consistency, creativity, and quality
