The Location:  South Place Hotel, 3 South Pl, London EC2M 2AF

The Salary: Up to £14.21 per hour

As D&D London’s first hotel, South Place Hotel is quite rightly something special: boutique, luxurious and fresh faced. Described by Wallpaper magazine as ‘Miami via Moorgate’, the hotel has 80 guest rooms, Michelin starred Angler restaurant as well as 3 South Place Restaurant, and five bars. With an array of meeting and event spaces as well as the stunning Secret Garden and rooftop terrace overlooking the Capital.

A bit about What you will be doing 

As a Housekeeping Porter you will be responsible for: providing operational support with a range of duties to all HK team members in an energetic, timely, precise and professional manner. In particular you will be responsible for distribution of linen and other deliveries throughout the hotel. You will also assist with general cleaning of guest and back areas. Ensure all HK pantries and storages 


Department Responsibilities:

  • Clean designated guest and back areas daily (vacuuming, dusting) to South Place standards.

  • Restock pantries, cupboards, and storage areas for guest use.

  • Perform weekly stock take, report discrepancies, and coordinate with the HK office for orders.

  • Clean make-ready units, including appliances, windows, floors, light fixtures, and outdoor areas.

  • Manage guest linen and towels (packing, sending, receiving, counting, distributing).

  • Maintain HK pantries and service areas (vacuuming, mopping, rubbish disposal, recycling).

  • Receive and distribute HK deliveries, ensure accurate delivery records, and report missing items.

  • Fulfill guest requests (extra beds, cots, pillows, bathroom supplies).

  • Report maintenance issues, damages, and missing items to Floor HK Supervisor.

  • Keep work areas and equipment organized and clean.

  • Operate Rug Doctor for carpet cleaning when required.

  • Provide tailored, professional service to guests following five-star standards.

  • Communicate with Floor HK Supervisor and Room Attendants for smooth service.

  • Report lost/found items following HK Lost Property SOP.

  • Collaborate with Executive Housekeeper for personal development.

  • Adhere to workplace safety and statutory requirements (Health & Safety, COSH, Hygiene, etc.).

  • Replenish minibar items, check inventory levels, and ensure items are within expiry dates.

  • Report low stock levels and ensure minibars are clean and organized.
