Job Title: Night Porter
Purpose of job: To give a warm welcome to the guests at South Place Hotel and to have an approachable and friendly manner. The Night Luggage Porter is responsible for taking part in all activities related to the bell service, such as, but not restricted to, handling of guest luggage, running errands and delivery of guest parcels or messages.
Responsible to: Director of Rooms / Night Manager
Liaison with: All departments
DEPARTMENT
RESPONSIBILITIES
· To welcome guests to the hotel offering them assistance with their baggage and directions to the Front Desk, while effectively managing the flow of traffic in and out of the motor lobby.
· To deliver a consistently high standard of guest services within the department
· To adhere to all health and safety policies and practices
· Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages
· To Identify and anticipate guest’s needs and ensure they are carried out effectively and efficiently.
· To provide room service, by taking and delivering food and drinks orders
· To ensure that impeccable grooming standards are maintained
· To have a detailed knowledge of all related departments and service operations at South Place Hotel
· To fold, prepare and deliver all newspaper
· To arrange transport and make restaurant and theater bookings for guests
· To make sure that the lobby areas are kept tidy at all times.
· To handle arrivals in an efficient manner
