What You’ll Do
This position will play an integral role in producing timely and accurate financial statements for a growing publicly traded company (NASDAQ: STKS). We are looking for an individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow their career with our company.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and file all SEC and internal reporting requirements, including Form 10-K and Form 10-Q, in accordance with GAAP and SEC guidelines.
· Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate timely and efficient audits, ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is provided.
· Responsible for the accounting for ASC842 – Leases.
· Assist with month-end close processes for journal entries and account reconciliations.
· Identify and recommend business process improvements to automate manual processes and accelerate the financial reporting process.
· Execute work in accordance with SOX compliance for accounting functions and update SOX documentation for areas of responsibility.
What We’re Looking For
· Good verbal and written communication
· Strong analytical skills
· Great attitude – willingness to assist wherever needed
· Work style – ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
· CPA recommended.
· 4+ years of accounting experience required.
· Public accounting experience preferred. Big 4 a plus.
· Strong General Accounting skills and GAAP knowledge with experience in SEC reporting.
· Proficiency in all MS Office applications, and advanced knowledge of Excel required.
· Can prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
· Candidates must have excellent communication skills (oral and written), the ability to interact with all levels of management through the organization and the initiative to get the job done.
