Position Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of the financial results reporting and analysis. Prepares and presents periodic financial results and projections. Performs variance analysis and other key financial analysis and reviews.   

Overview

This is an in-office position located at 1624 Market St., Denver, CO 80202. The individual hired for this role is expected to be on-site and work in the office each day. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this position.  

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in the restaurant industry. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in evaluating the financial health of the company, providing insights to optimize profitability, and supporting key decision-making processes. You will be responsible for analyzing financial performance, forecasting future trends, and identifying areas for operational improvement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for working with the field and the Senior Director of FP&A to prepare the annual budget, as applicable.
  • Prepares and maintains the Company’s liquidity forecast, as applicable.
  • Prepares periodic and quarterly Field Bonus computations, as applicable.
  • Responsible for extensive actual versus budget comparison reporting.
  • Periodically produces industry reporting comparisons.
  • Prepares and analyzes weekly sales and labor reports including hours worked and productivity measures.
  • Supports the Real Estate Department by preparing new site Income Statement and Capital Requirement projections.
  • Produces ad hoc reports as requested by the Senior Director of FP&A, CFO and others from the leadership team.
  • Identifies and suggests trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the capital spending review process for the company.
  • Leads scenario modeling efforts.
  • Prepares presentations in support of board meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings, and various strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for Menu Engineering and pricing analytics, as applicable
  • Daily sales review, inquiries and monitoring of trends, as applicable
  • Responsible for marketing analytics reporting on trends and ROI’s.
  • Oversight and maintenance of our Mirus BI tool, as applicable.

Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize, prepare, and present reports and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and comfortable working with different financial packages.

Education/Experience: 

  • 2-4 years of finance and/or accounting experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • MBA preferred. 
  •  Accounting or financial systems experience required.
  • Mirus BI and NCR Back Office a plus
  • Ability to interact with various levels of the organization and outside contacts effectively and operate and manage processes.
