Description

Stout is looking for a powerhouse General Manager to lead our Financial District location. While you’ll handle the high-standard operations that define the Stout brand, in this role you will be the driving force behind our community presence, identifying new revenue streams by becoming an essential fixture of the downtown scene. We need a leader who can balance a high-volume floor with a proactive approach to community building and local partnerships.

The Role: Operational Excellence + Community Impact

You aren’t just running a shift; you’re building a destination. Beyond the standard P&L management and team leadership, your success will be measured by your ability to integrate Stout into the fabric of the downtown community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Neighborhood Diplomacy: Actively engage with local businesses, residential buildings, and corporate neighbors to drive private events and repeat "after-work" business.

  • Revenue Growth: Develop and execute creative local marketing initiatives and programming to maximize foot traffic during both peak and off-peak hours.

  • Operational Mastery: Oversee daily operations, ensuring the kitchen, bar, and floor are synchronized to deliver the signature Stout experience.

  • Culture & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and inspire a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in hospitality and efficiency.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage labor costs, inventory, and COGS while identifying new opportunities for bottom-line growth.

What We’re Looking For
  • The Networker: You have a natural ability to connect with people, from the CEO grabbing a Guinness to the concierge down the street.

  • The Strategist: You don’t just wait for the rush; you analyze local trends and "hunt" for new revenue streams.

  • The Veteran: At least 3–5 years of GM experience in a high-volume NYC hospitality environment (Pub/Tavern experience is a plus).

  • The Closer: Proven track record of increasing sales and managing healthy margins.

Why Stout?
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • A seat at the table with a respected, growing hospitality group.

  • The chance to put your personal stamp on one of NYC’s most iconic neighborhoods.
