Business Analyst – Restaurant Systems

The Role:

Looking for highly motivated Business Analyst with experience working with point of sale and back-office systems.  The ideal candidate has the demonstrated ability to evaluate complex business and technical requirements and formulate clear, concise documentation. Successful candidates will be strong team players but also able to work independently. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assess and write detailed business and technical analysis of requirements, including requirements for successful integration with existing functionality for all store systems, including data mapping, diagrams and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
  • Manage store system configurations, monitor active integrations, lead troubleshooting and solutioning for failures, providing direction and escalation. 
  • Provide support for escalations and track issues using ticketing system.
  • Working with cross functional groups to identify and prioritize use cases for new and existing functionality, establishing project scope, system goals and requirements.
  • Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance and system performance.
  • Manage new features and integrations, including analysis, requirement drafting, testing and rollout of change.
  • Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in timely manner including root cause analysis.

 

The Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience working in a Business/Systems Analyst role.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to assess complex business requirements and to lead requirements and design definition sessions to facilitate the development of effective business solutions.
  • Proven ability to write comprehensive, clear, and concise business requirements documents and user stories.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to communicate verbally to technical and non-technical audiences and at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts (SQL experience a plus).
  • Detail-oriented mindset, Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Hospitality software experience preferred (i.e. POS Systems, Back-Office Systems).
  • Adherence to change management and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to mentor and lead training sessions on software applications for end users of all skill sets.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail.
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally.
  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions.
