Supply Chain Demand Planner

The Role:
The Demand Planner will pair strong organizational and analytical skills to create and manage the sharing of product informational from end-to-end. A successful Demand Planner will demonstrate attention to detail, proactivity, critical thinking, and ability to influence key internal and external partners to drive long term proposition.

 

What You’ll Do:

  •  Lead and manage product fulfillment and execution for Zoe’s Kitchen and Cava brands
  • Partner with Operations and the Development team to create projections for new store openings and conversions
  • Facilitate formal forecast review process and communicate risks and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand seasonality and promotional impacts on sales volumes and adjust forecasts accordingly
  • Create ad-hoc reporting as needed to enhance Demand Planning and cross-functional stakeholder understanding of volume drivers and forecast variances
  • Communicate and manage forecasts with the internal Supply Chain team, Distributors, and Suppliers  
  • Closely monitor forecast accuracy, Demand Planning and Supply Chain KPI’s to identify gaps and initiate corrections
  • Identify and report on root cause for inventory exposure at all levels
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to align and adjust forecasts based on sales, order lead-time, MOQ, and minimum shelf-life requirements
  • Partner closely with Accounting and Finance on price changes and potential exposure
  • Establish buying and inventory management processes with Distributors and Suppliers
  • Investigate out-of-stocks at the store level and partner with Operations to design corrective action plans

  

 The Qualifications:

  • Experience managing or working directly with 3rd party distribution centers
  • Strong computer knowledge (Excel)
  • Must be able to work independently and/or part of a team
  • 3-5 years of prior experience with Demand Planning or Inventory Management processes or systems in CPG or Foodservice
  • Project management experience
  • Working knowledge or Arrowstream or iTrade is a plus
  • APICS or other forecast/Supply Chain certification a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally
  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions
