Manager of Facilities

The Manager of Facilities ensures the operational integrity and long-term functionality of CAVA’s restaurant locations within a defined region. This role leads all aspects of repair and maintenance, vendor performance, project execution, and emergency response for both new and existing restaurants. Acting as a strategic partner to Operations and Development, the MAnager of Facilities proactively oversees day-to-day service requests, long-term Capex planning, and preventative maintenance, while supporting the team in delivering safe, fully functional spaces that meet CAVA’s standards. This individual plays a key role in balancing operational needs, vendor management, and budget management, to drive restaurant performance and guest satisfaction experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Leads all aspects of facilities operations within an assigned region - including repair, maintenance, projects, and vendor coordination - to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted restaurant operations.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between Operations and external vendors to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance requests through the ServiceChannel platform, managing a high volume of work orders with urgency and accuracy.
  • Manages vendor relationships, service contracts, and waste/recycling programs to ensure accountability, performance consistency, and alignment with CAVA’s operational standards and financial goals.
  • Oversees proposal and invoice workflows - reviewing work scopes, validating pricing, and ensuring completion to standard before authorizing payment - while maintaining accurate documentation for compliance and recordkeeping.
  • Develops, manages, and forecasts regional facilities budgets, analyzing spend trends, tracking vendor performance, and partnering with Accounting and Finance to control costs and maintain accurate accruals.
  • Implements proactive preventative maintenance programs that extend equipment life, reduce downtime, and improve restaurant reliability and asset performance.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards through regular inspections, documentation, and vendor adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts regular site visits and targeted inspections to assess restaurant conditions, identify risks or deficiencies, and partner with Operations on solutions that enhance functionality and guest experience.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, Construction, and Development to support new openings, capital projects, punch/turnover walks, and warranty resolution to ensure seamless handoffs and operational readiness.
  • Leads emergency response for critical equipment failures or safety hazards, coordinating rapid vendor deployment and clear communication to minimize operational disruption.
  • Analyzes facility data, vendor KPIs, and performance metrics to identify trends, inform decisions, and recommend process improvements for long-term asset optimization.
  • Participates in recurring team meetings and cross-functional updates to communicate project status, escalate issues, and align on short- and long-term facilities priorities.
  • Coaches and supports Facilities Specialists by providing leadership, oversight, and opportunities for professional growth, fostering a culture of accountability and proactive facility ownership.

The Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing facilities operations in a multi-unit environment, preferably within restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • Proven success managing a high volume of service requests, vendor relationships, and project timelines while maintaining service quality and cost control.
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facilities operations, with the ability to assess, scope, and prioritize repairs independently.
  • Experience using ServiceChannel or similar CMMS systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across internal teams and external partners.
  • Adept at managing competing priorities in a dynamic, field-based role, including travel up to 40% of the time and responding to urgent needs after hours.

Physical Requirements:  

·        Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment

·        Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details

·        For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds

·        Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively

·        Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable

·        Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
