Manager, FP&A

The FP&A Manager will lead G&A and headcount planning & analysis—serving as a strategic partner to business leaders and helping drive performance through data, insights, and financial rigor. This role is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, as well as supporting business case development and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end planning and forecasting process for G&A departments and headcount planning & analysis.
  • Partner closely with department leaders to develop annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans for G&A functions.
  • Own the company's headcount planning and forecasting process for assigned business functions, ensuring alignment between hiring plans, financial forecasts, and organizational priorities.
  • Evaluate proposed investments by developing detailed financial analyses, identifying key assumptions, risks, and expected financial returns.
  • Monitor actual results against budget and forecast, proactively identifying variances and recommending actions to improve financial performance.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and transparency in financial reporting and planning deliverables.
  • Foster a culture of financial accountability by helping business partners understand tradeoffs, key performance drivers, and investment returns.
  • Champion CAVA’s values through financial stewardship, strategic partnership, and a growth-oriented mindset.

The Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • 5–7+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, preferably in a consumer, manufacturing, or multi-unit retail/restaurant environment.
  • Strong modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead planning processes and deliver impactful business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive) and BI tools preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Passion for CAVA’s mission and enthusiasm for working in a purpose-driven, high-growth environment.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
