The Arts Club, a hub of culinary excellence, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our Ofelia Kitchen.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the brigade, supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional food standards, ensuring smooth service, and supporting the development of junior team members.
While not essential, experience with classic Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta, and traditional recipes will be highly regarded. Above all, we are looking for someone with strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for Italian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Lead and supervise sections during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
Ensure consistency by following recipes and established standards
Oversee portion control and minimise wastage to support profitability
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
Train, mentor, and support the development of junior chefs
Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier management
Ensure all sections are fully prepared for service (mise en place)
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times
Job Summary
The Junior Sous Chef will work closely with the senior kitchen team to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and service.
You will take an active role in supervising the team, supporting service delivery, and contributing to the overall success of the kitchen. This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership ability, and a hands-on approach.
