Description

A Stage Unlike Any Other

In 1863, a group of artists, writers, and free thinkers gathered with a shared conviction: that the finest conversation, the boldest ideas, and the warmest hospitality belonged together under one roof. Charles Dickens dined here. Whistler argued here. Rodin was inspired here.

The Arts Club was born not as a venue, but as a living expression of creative life — and it has never stopped.

At the heart of that life today are the people and spaces that bring our club to life every day. This is more than an operation — it is an environment where members connect, create, and return time and time again because something about it feels truly special.

It takes an exceptional person to be part of that.

That person might be you.

 Join Our Kitchen Team

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen brigade. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary career within a professional, high-quality hospitality environment.

Working alongside experienced chefs, you'll gain hands-on experience across the kitchen while helping to deliver exceptional food and maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of your kitchen section, ensuring it is fully prepared, organised, and ready for service.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to a high standard, following recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Lead and support junior members of the kitchen team, including Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants, providing guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Complete all mise en place efficiently and ensure your section is fully stocked and service-ready.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation throughout service.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and stock levels, supporting effective stock rotation, storage, and waste management.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining high standards on your section and proactively identify and resolve issues during service.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is essential; experience in a Senior Chef de Partie role is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and delivering consistently high standards.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of a kitchen section and remain organised and effective during busy services.
  • Confident supporting, guiding, and developing junior members of the kitchen team.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and solve problems during service.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable but not essential.

In return, we offer an excellent range of rewards and benefits, including:

  • Private medical benefits
  • Life Assurance
  • Long Service Awards
  • Reward Gateway Benefits Scheme
  • Discounts on food & beverage in our restaurants and sister businesses
  • An exciting range of learning and development programmes & opportunities for continual progression
  • Enhanced maternity pay
  • Enhanced sickness pay
  • Complimentary meals while on shift
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Birthday extra day off
