Reporting to the Head of People, this is a varied, hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of our core People processes.  Our People Adviser will provide a visible and accessible People presence for our team and managers, taking ownership of operational People activity and providing practical first-line advice on straightforward employee matters.

  • Monitoring absence and wellbeing activity and supporting appropriate follow-up.
  • Coordinating learning and development activity and monitoring mandatory training compliance.
  • Supporting team engagement and recognition activity.
  • Maintaining accurate People records, reporting and administration and ensuring agreed actions are followed through.

About You
You may currently be an HR Administrator, People Coordinator, People Adviser or in a similar role and be ready to take ownership of a broader range of day-to-day People activity.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes and working with an HR system.
  • A good understanding of People/HR processes and an awareness of UK employment legislation.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
  • Clear and professional communication skills and the confidence to support managers and team members.
  • A professional, approachable and discreet manner with sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
  • The confidence to provide straightforward People advice and recognise when a matter requires escalation.

A CIPD Level 3 qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous, as would experience within hospitality or another fast-paced operational environment.

What We Offer
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Dedicated employee assistance programme through Wisdom (Health Assured)
  • Stream (formerly Wagestream) financial wellbeing programme.
  • Complimentary overnight stay at one of our hotels to celebrate your work anniversary.
  • An extra days' holiday on your birthday.
  • Recommend a Friend bonus up to £750
  • Discounted room nights through Hilton Team Member Travel Programme
  • 28 days' holiday per year, including public and bank holidays, rising annually to 33 days with length of service.
  • Meals provided while on duty.
