SUMMARY
This position reports to the Director of Finance. The Director of Revenue and Reservations drives business to increase The Inn's total revenue along with managing the Reservations Department.
This role is bonus eligible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Revenue
· Manage and update daily rates and distribution for 365-day window.
· Maximize RevPAR by analyzing past trends and future demands to set / adjust sales strategies.
· Analyze and optimize distribution channels for the maximum benefit of market penetration.
· Create, communicate, and distribute messaging and strategy for all consortia and OTA partners.
· Develop cross promotional specials to capitalize on food and beverage and retail to drive occupancy
· Work with partners internal and external to best potentiate new guest capture based on constant flow of offers.
· Build and maintain between 3-5 special offers on website at all times.
· Assure profitability indices for respective outlets are practical when building packages.
· Create packages that shift seasonally and with target demographic in mind.
· Drive the implementation of revenue generating methods to increase The Inn’s bottom line year-over-year revenue.
Reservations
· Contribute to website content and maintenance of website content.
· Update and manage inventory restrictions and allotments for all venues.
· Work closely with the sales and e-commerce team to create eNewsletters, hotel packages, and other marketing venues.
· Initiates policies to improve collaboration between the reservations team and key departments within the property to enable The Inn to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
· Hire and train new Reservation agents.
· Ensure that the Reservations team is maintaining property accolades and delivering service according to Forbes 5 Star and AAA 5 Diamond service standards.
· Manage department scheduling and labor costs by taking overflow call when necessary.
· Collaborate with the Director of IT and Special Events Manager to implement an online event calendar on The Inn’s Website.
· Assist in the implementation and ongoing management of The Inn’s new dining room reservation software.
· Create and distribute Daily Report.
· Implement professional growth guidelines for reservation agents.
· Ensure all reservation team members are adequately uniformed and meet The Inn’s grooming standards.
· Explore and expand options for local activities to provide guests of The Inn with leisure activity options.
· Demonstrate enthusiastic approach as a key member of management team to foster The Inn’s evolution.
· Assist with Inn staff functions.
· Attend meetings as invited by Director of Finance and General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
· Must possess excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills, and must have the ability to prioritize work.
· Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hotel Management or Business Management.
· Excellent spoken and written English
· A minimum of 5 years of luxury hotel operations leadership experience in both Revenue & Reservations.
· Computer proficiency, preferably in Excel, Microsoft Word, Google, Micros, Delphi, Opera.
· Demonstrated track record of strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
· Proficiency in labor cost control.
Desirable
· Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferable Spanish, or French.
