SUMMARY
Participate in daily Front of House operations to
deliver a 5-Star, 5-Diamond, 3-Michelin Star experience to all guests. Maintain
all aspects of the service areas and dining room. Serves as the ambassador of
the establishment.
Essential Functions
- Can function as MOD on any given night
- Has taken on a mentorship role with new staff
members – and has successfully trained a staff member on new roles or
information
- Able to successfully identify problems that arise
pertaining, but not limited to, dinner service, and can take proper corrective
action
- Possess a mastery of different departments such as:
- Kitchen
– Can successfully act as an expediter and has a masterful understanding of
cooking techniques and terms
- Front
desk – Understands precisely how to bill guests and the many ways of billing,
as well as having a masterful knowledge of resort suite functions
- Housekeeping
– Can successfully turn down a room, locate and supply a roll-a-way bed, and
other room amenities (toothpaste, pillows, etc.)
- Valet
– Knows how to and where to park cars, such as electric vehicles, and can
successfully drive a manual vehicle. Can effectively direct guests to local
attractions
- Maintenance
– Can successfully locate and change any light bulb (that does not require an
electrician). Knows the names of our maintenance employees and can successfully
obtain assistance from them when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior fine dining experience
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible
tattoos
- Must have reliable transportation
- Intermediate wine knowledge
- Open to working holidays and weekends
Desirable
- Familiarity
with Forbes Standards
- Ability
to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
- Certification
in alcohol awareness program
- Certification
in CPR
- Prior
experience with Resortsuite and Tock
- Advanced wine knowledge
SKILLS
- Ability
to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Strong
interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
- Must
always be organized and maintain cleanliness of workstation
- Ability
to speak using clear and professional language
- Ability
to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability
to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed
- Ability
to assist guests with questions about the property, history, and surrounding
areas
