SUMMARY
Assist in daily Front Office operations and deliver a Five-star, Five-diamond experience to all guests. Maintain all aspects of the front desk and hotel driveway to ensure a luxury experience. Serve as a support to the Front Office team and deliver an exceptional first impression to all arriving guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Parking guests’ vehicles and assisting with carrying bags to guests' rooms
Assist with opening doors and check coats for guests
Must be a strong ambassador for The Inn in all of their interactions with our guests – those staying overnight in one of our 23 beautiful guest suites, as well as those dining with us in our world-famous dining room
Have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment which includes, but not limited to, greeting guests, parking vehicles, escort guests to rooms, deliver luggage to guestrooms in a timely manner, open doors for guests entering and leaving the property, organize and store luggage and maintain the cleanliness of the front driveway
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have the ability to meet the expectations of a 5 Star/5 Diamond property by providing top-notch guest service skills
Must greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own home
An eagerness to learn new information with a positive attitude
Able to take constructive criticism to help improve faults
Must meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactions
Be anticipatory of guest needs and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Must maintain professional etiquette with all guests and employees
Constantly monitor the lobby, public areas and front driveway to ensure the areas are clean and free of debris
Assist guests with directions
Communicate parking instructions to guests if self-parking is preferred
Must be able to explain room features if a guest inquires
Must follow all disinfecting and sanitization policies
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Must have a valid drivers’ license and be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle check
Able to drive both a manual and automatic car
Must be at least 16 years of age
Excellent communication skills
Must be willing to comply with the Inn’s grooming standards – Any visible tattoos must be covered by the uniform and men should be clean-shaven at all times
Desirable
6 months to 1 year of customer service experience
Prior experience at a 4 or 5 star luxury property
Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
Certification in CPR
SKILLS
Ability to communicate in English both orally and written
Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
Must always be organized and maintain cleanliness of the front driveway and valet stand
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift 30+ lbs
Able to stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing
