Summary
Engineer 1 will diagnose and provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Inn policies.
Essential Functions:
1. Minimum 2-year previous experience and the working technical knowledge in the related field
2. Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
3. Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
4. Be an active member of the team by working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
5. Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public areas in a timely manner.
6. Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
7. Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
8. Ability to read, write and speak English effectively with team, guests and hotel staff.
9. Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
10. Incredible Customer Service & Excellent teammate skills.
11. Mastery level knowledge of one or more of the following areas HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Mechanical.
12. Certifications highly recommended in one or more of the following: IEC, NECA, NIULPE, CFC, NATE, CCM, CSM, PMP, CPO, JOURNEYMAN,
Physical Demands
1. Must be available to be on call 24/7 – Nights and weekends preferred
2. Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds
3. Able to walk, sit and stand up to 10 hours
5. Fire Safety and Basic CPR/First Aid training (First Responds Team)
