The Lead Engineer / Coordinator is a dual-role position combining hands-on technical maintenance with administrative and operational coordination. This role ensures flawless execution of maintenance tasks, preventive programs, vendor activities, documentation, and guest-impacting repairs—all aligned with the refined expectations of a 5‑star luxury hotel.

Essential Functions Technical & Maintenance Responsibilities

·         • Perform general maintenance: light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC filter changes.

·         • Respond to guest and staff engineering requests with urgency and professionalism.

·         • Assist senior engineers with advanced technical tasks.

·         • Support preventive maintenance programs and properly record completed tasks.

·         • Maintain organization and safety in mechanical rooms and engineering shop areas.

·         • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours needs.

·         • Support emergency response procedures including fire alarms, outages, and safety incidents.

Coordination & Administrative Responsibilities Work Order & CMMS Oversight

·         • Monitor and assign work orders in the CMMS system.

·         • Follow up to ensure timely and accurate task completion.

·         • Prepare weekly reports on work order status and open tasks.

Procurement & Inventory Management

·         • Order tools, parts, hardware, and consumables.

·         • Source vendors, compare pricing, and request quotes.

·         • Maintain inventory par levels and track incoming deliveries.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

·         • Schedule and oversee vendor service visits.

·         • Ensure proper access, supervision, and documentation.

·         • Maintain strong relationships with contractors and service partners.

Financial Processing

·         • Process and code invoices for purchases and service work.

·         • Track spending against departmental budgets.

·         • Maintain audit-ready purchasing documentation.

Compliance & Reporting

·         • Maintain logs for life safety systems, inspections, boilers, elevators, and regulatory documents.

·         • Assist in preparation for safety audits and compliance reviews.

Guest Experience & Service Culture

·         • Represent the Engineering Department with professionalism and discretion.

·         • Support quiet, polished maintenance interactions in guest-facing areas.

·         • Help maintain a flawless physical environment aligned with luxury hospitality standards.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

·         3-5 years’ experience including managing a team, assigning staff, and scheduling.

·         • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

·         • Ability to learn and operate CMMS systems.

·         • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft, Teams and HotSOS

·         • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

·         • Comfort working with tools, ladders, and building systems.

·         • Hotel experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

·         • Experience in luxury hospitality or high-touch service environments.

·         • Invoice or inventory management experience.

·         • CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain.

Physical Demands

·         • Lift up to 60 lbs.

·         • Sit, stand, or walk for up to 8 hours.

·         • Climb ladders up to 30 feet.

·         • Participate in on-call rotation.
