Summary

This role is the primary engineering presence on property during second shift and is responsible for guest service calls, emergency response, facility oversight, and nightly building checks. This position requires a dependable technician who can work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and maintain high operational standards. We maintain our facilities to high hospitality standards and expect the same level of craftsmanship from our team. Reports directly to the Director of Engineering and operates with independent judgment during evening operations.


Essential Functions:

·         Respond to guest room and departmental maintenance requests

·         Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and general building systems

·         Serve as first responder for facility-related emergencies

·         Conduct evening property inspections and equipment checks

·         Complete nightly logs and shift reports

·         Support building closure procedures and security checks

·         Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled


Qualifications

·         3+ years of building maintenance or facilities experience

·         Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·         Professional demeanor and guest-service mindset

·         Weekend and holiday availability required

·         Hospitality or resort experience preferred


Physical Demands

·         Lift up to 60 lbs regularly.

·         Stand and walk for extended shifts.

·         Climb ladders up to 30 ft.

·         Available for emergency response and rotating on-call coverage.


Preferred Certifications

·         Certified Pool Operator.

·         Trade school or vocational training in plumbing or facilities maintenance.

·         OSHA safety training.

·         CPR/First Aid certification.+
