SUMMARY 

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support the operation of a high-end, multi-building hospitality property. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of all HVAC systems across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.

This position plays a direct role in guest comfort and operational continuity. The ideal candidate is a strong, independent technician capable of diagnosing issues, executing preventative maintenance, and reducing reliance on outside vendors.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

HVAC Systems (Primary Focus)

1.       Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including water-sourced heat pumps, air handlers, and split systems

2.       Identify and resolve system inefficiencies, airflow issues, and control-related problems

3.       Execute scheduled preventative maintenance programs to improve system reliability and lifespan

4.       Maintain mechanical rooms and HVAC infrastructure to a high standard of organization and safety

Operational Support

1.       Respond to service calls related to heating, cooling, and ventilation issues across the property

2.       Document all work performed in the CMMS (HotSOS or equivalent)

3.       Assist in identifying recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions

4.       Support vendor coordination for major repairs or specialized work

Secondar Support (Limited Scope)

1.       Assist with basic troubleshooting of refrigeration or kitchen equipment as needed

2.       Coordinate with specialized vendors for complex commercial appliance repairs


QUALIFICATIONS
1.       5+ years of HVAC experience preferred (commercial or hospitality environment strongly preferred)

2.       Strong working knowledge of heat pump systems, air distribution, and HVAC diagnostics

3.       EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required

4.       Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics

5.       Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

6.       Valid driver’s license


WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS

1.       Multi-building property with a wide range of HVAC systems and operating conditions

2.       Mix of preventative maintenance and real-time service response

3.       Participation in an on-call rotation for HVAC-related emergencies

4.       Work performed in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and various indoor/outdoor environments



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1.       Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

2.       Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces

3.       Capable of working in hot, cold, and variable conditions
