The Ivy Collection is established as an iconic destination for fine dining and impeccable service. The Ivy represents elegance, sophistication, and culinary excellence. With a rich history spanning decades, our commitment to exceeding guest expectations remains unwavering.

We are looking for an experienced and established Head Chef to join our team as a Bench Head Chef, with the view to ultimately taking on a permanent Head Chef position at one of our sites once a site becomes available.

Your journey will begin in one of our flagship sites, working closely alongside one of our most experienced and successful Head Chefs. This immersive training period is designed to help you master our standards, culture, and operational systems in a high-performing environment, preparing you for success in your home site.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team through positive and constructive methods.
  • Support the existing Head Chef by providing hands-on leadership, mentoring and operational cover.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Contribute to sales growth through maintaining high standards throughout.
  • Contribute to maintaining a high customer satisfaction score.
  • Looking after staff wellbeing, working towards high staff retention.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Pioneer a positive work environment and fostering teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality and creativity.
  • Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Complete understanding of EBITDA & GP.
  • Understanding P&L to make positive cuts, increasing overall profit.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in organising and leading a large kitchen team.
