Job description
1. Manage the corporate market and drive minimum fair market share to ensure maximum yield in line with hotel budgetary objectives.
2. Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
3. Compile and execute monthly sales action plans with budgets as agreed with Director of Sales communicating any obstacles to completing action plans.
4. Create and pursue innovative ideas for revenue generation ensuring that all opportunities are researched fully and presented to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
5. To ensure all negotiated rates are located correctly in the GDS system.
6. To entertain clients within the hotel where relevant and host familiarisation visits as required either within the working day or outside normal working hours.
7. To negotiate corporate rates within the guidelines set by the Director of Sales and monitor their production on a monthly basis.
8. Proactively prospect the defined geographical area for new business, exploring marketing opportunities, Incentives and competitor opportunities achieving a pre-set volume of telesales and face-to-face.
9. Communicate client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to relevant hotel departments as required, ensuring delivery of superior guest service.
10. To develop a twelve-month sales action plan based on the hotel's Sales & Marketing Plan and review on a monthly basis with the Assistant Director of Sales.
11. To be aware of opportunities which exist in the marketplace and current market trends and bring these to the attention of the Director of Sales & Marketing.
