The Role

As a Junior Sous Chef – Pastry, you will:

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef in the daily operation of the pastry section
• Ensure consistently high standards in pastry preparation and presentation
• Assist in leading and motivating the pastry team during service
• Contribute to menu development, seasonal offerings, and creative execution
• Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

About You

You will have:

• Previous experience in a pastry kitchen at a similar level or as a strong Chef de Partie
• A strong technical foundation in pastry and dessert preparation
• The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
• A genuine passion for quality, detail, and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the pastry section during service
• Support training and development of junior pastry chefs
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
• Maintain consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation
• Support stock control, ordering, and waste reduction initiatives
