The Role
As a Staff
Canteen Chef, you will:
- Prepare and
cook daily meals for staff in line with agreed menus and dietary requirements.
- Ensure all
meals are served to a consistent standard, meeting both quality and portion
expectations.
- Manage food
preparation, service, and replenishment during busy meal periods.
- Maintain
high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.
- Support
stock control, ordering, and rotation in line with kitchen procedures.
- Collaborate
with the wider kitchen team to support overall kitchen efficiency.

About You
We are
looking for individuals who are passionate about excellence and culture.
You will
have:
- At least 3
years’ experience in a similar high-volume, professional kitchen environment.
- Proven
experience in preparing balanced meals for large staff teams or brigade-style
kitchens.
- A solid
understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and safety regulations.
- The ability
to work independently and remain organised under pressure.
- Strong
communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility
to work early mornings and daytime shifts, including weekends as required.
Key
Responsibilities
- Plan and
execute staff meals, ensuring nutritional balance and variety.
- Monitor
portion control and minimise food waste.
- Maintain
cleanliness and organisation in the staff canteen kitchen area.
- Comply with
all health, safety, and food hygiene legislation.
- Report any
equipment issues or stock shortages to the Head Chef promptly.
- Contribute
positively to the team culture and kitchen environment.
