The Role

As a Maitre’D, you will:

  • Lead the front-of-house team to deliver seamless, world-class dining experiences for our guests and members.
  • Manage reservations, table allocations, and guest preferences to ensure a personalised service.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guest feedback, ensuring swift resolution of any concerns.
  • Work closely with the restaurant management, kitchen, and bar teams to maintain exceptional standards across service, presentation, and guest engagement.
  • Train, motivate, and mentor junior team members, leading by example and upholding The Twenty Two’s service culture.

The Twenty Two is a privately owned, luxury 31-bedroom hotel with an all-day public restaurant and private members’ club, set in a historic Edwardian manor on Grosvenor Square, London. About You

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about excellence and culture, with a genuine drive to create memorable guest experiences.

You will have:

  • Proven experience as a Maitre’D or senior front-of-house role within a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and guest relationship skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • A professional, polished, and approachable manner.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee guest service standards and team performance during service.
  • Manage table plans, guest preferences, and VIP requirements.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Train and mentor team members to support professional growth.
  • Handle guest feedback and ensure continuous improvement in service quality.
