Are you an expert in wine with a passion for luxury hospitality and world-class service? The 22 Hotel, London, is seeking a Head Sommelier to lead our wine programme and elevate the guest dining experience with curated pairings and service excellence.

The Role

As Head Sommelier, you’ll take ownership of our wine cellar and wine service, supporting the restaurant and private dining operations while leading a knowledgeable sommelier team.

  • Curate and manage the hotel’s wine list and cellar.
  • Recommend wine pairings to complement the dining experience.
  • Train and mentor junior sommeliers and FOH staff on wine knowledge and service.
  • Work with suppliers and maintain strong inventory and ordering systems.
  • Assist with wine dinners, tastings, and VIP service.

About You

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Have strong experience as a senior sommelier or wine lead in a luxury restaurant or hotel.
  • Are WSET qualified or equivalent (Level 3 preferred).
  • Have excellent product knowledge and a confident, warm approach to service.
  • Are passionate about wine education and hospitality.
  • Have experience managing a wine programme and leading a small team.
