Description

Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Analyst will support all business lines by driving value with analytics and providing meaningful insights. This position plays a critical role in the analysis of new projects to help decide which should be funded and then work through the underwriting process.

 

Responsibilities and Key Competencies:

·      Collaborate with stakeholders to gather pertinent new project information, formulate Pro Forma’s and develop budgets.

·      Utilize data to analyze business opportunities/projects and help determine whether the company should move forward to fund the project.

·      Move from concept/opportunity to profitable new business by underwriting projects and leveraging developed Capital Expenditure (CapEx) analysis

·      Support growth by creating financial and operating models with KPI, ROI analysis and develop mechanisms to monitor performance.

·      Support Board and investor material preparation with financial metrics. 

·      Assess performance of various operating models at a property and corporate level.

·      Communicate insights effectively to cross-functional leaders and Sr. leadership.

·      Be an effective cross functional partner to identify and prioritize opportunities to optimize performance.

·      Support strategic initiatives with analytical insights and project management.

·      Support creating budgets, forecasts and assess business line profitability along with key non-financial metrics.

·      Build dashboards with key both Financial and non-financial metrics by partnering with Accounting and Operations. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Ability and passion to transform data into actionable insights.

Familiarity on or around ROI and Payback Models

Directly responsible for completing new business proformas

Strong Excel and Power Point skills

Have an entrepreneurial spirit and not be afraid of understanding details without losing sight of the big picture

Be a promoter of innovation and collaboration to drive performance.

Familiarity with WACC, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Cash Flow Analysis, ROI and Project Underwriting

3 to 5 years of experience in analytical role restaurant or hospitality industry a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business
