José Andrés Group (JAG) - Operations Systems Specialist
The Operation Systems Specialist assists with managing all of our technology systems including but not limited to culinary, beverage, HR, and accounting, etc. Primarily this position will work to support the operations teams at our restaurants to ensure our solutions are correctly configured and effectively utilized. The position will support, and require cooperation and partnership with, company Leadership, Senior Management, Head Chefs, and Restaurant Managers.
Key Job Responsibilities
Provide support to restaurants in their use of technology while adhering to our internal service level agreements (SLAs).
Develop and maintain system training procedures, reinforcing company objectives, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Standardize software and processes to ensure compliance with SOPs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure that restaurant teams are well-trained to effectively utilize the functions of each system.
Collaborate independently and as part of a team to implement and configure systems to align with our tactical and strategic goals.
Offer solutions to address current inefficiencies and assist in the implementation of new processes for operations teams.
Perform additional responsibilities as outlined during the interview process.
Experience with technologies we use is a plus, they include Harri, Paytronix, Craftable, Toast, Micros, Gratshare, OpenTable, and Sevenrooms..
Skills & Knowledge
Minimum of 3+ years of restaurant experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proficiency in one or more POS systems (Toast, Micros/Oracle preferred), Google Workspace applications, restaurant inventory/invoicing systems, Slack, Mac, and Windows operating systems.
Experience with integrating and supporting third-party labor, inventory, and reporting systems.
Knowledge of basic hardware troubleshooting, networking configuration, security, and system troubleshooting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to train users, communicate across all organizational levels, and create technical documentation.
Forward-thinking with a creative mindset, capable of identifying root causes and solving problems.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Eagerness to acquire knowledge of the food industry, restaurants, and hospitality technologies.
Basic understanding of revenue management, general accounting, payroll, time clock systems, and scheduling.
Ability to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Abilities & Working Conditions
Physical capability to stand and move for up to 8 hours, and able to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.
Required skills include grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
Manual dexterity required for the installation and operation of restaurant equipment.
Consistent attendance during a 50-hour work week.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with empathy and efficiency.
Flexibility to work nights and weekends, with variable schedules sometimes on short notice.
Willingness to travel to other company sites with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice from management.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to excel in a dynamic business environment.
Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects, often with competing resources and timelines.
