Project Manager: NEW RESTAURANT OPENINGS
The Project Manager of New Restaurant Openings is responsible for effectively planning, managing, and overseeing the process and project activities for new restaurant openings. The Project Manager is the main point of contact and liaison between Hotel Partners and José Andrés Group during the new restaurant opening process. Must travel to all new restaurant opening sites during pre-opening, opening and post-opening to ensure accuracy and proper completion of the project. Current and upcoming cities include NYC, Miami, DC, Las Vegas, Chicago, Los Angeles and Florida.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Organizational Project Management
Responsible for creating, and implementing in collaboration with the Senior Director of Training + Development, and broadly the executive leadership a project management program for JAG.
Drive a cross-functional team (Legal, Accounting Finance, Marketing, Development, IT, Systems, Culinary, Operations) to ensure a successful project execution based on scope.
Lead kick-off calls assisted by the Senior Director of Training and officially signaling the start of the project and to provide information on deal structure, high-level department budgets, timeline, and meeting cadences moving forward.
Lead/Host weekly JAG Critical Path calls for each project
Ability to manage deadlines cross departmentally and communicate when missed.
Provide high-level weekly project updates to CFO, COO, and Senior Director of Training including potential exposures with recommended solutions.
Oversee multiple new restaurant openings.
Must ensure that project activities are within pre-specified budget and specifications
Creates all pre-opening timelines, schedules and checklists with Senior Director of Training + Development
Partners with Project Chef and R&D Department for the timely selection, delivery and installation of kitchen equipment and menu creation
Ensure success of daily on-site project operations by directing and informing the JAG teams.
Provide timely reports to the Leadership Team, and other home office teams regarding the status of the opening
Implement new procedures, proven practices, useful tools and efficiencies for new restaurants and shares best practices with existing restaurants
Follow all JAG company policies and procedures
Responsible for translating the annual operating model into a project management program each year.

Must be able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels
Represent JAG by exuding hospitality to external and internal partners.
Ability and understanding that this role is one of service to the organization
Ability to write budgets, explain budgets, and maintain declining budgets
Restaurant business acumen a plus
PNL and Budget knowledge required
Working Conditions
Must be able to work non-traditional hours
Ability to travel 50% of the time to specific project locations.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to climb, walk and stand for extended periods of time
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Project Management, Hospitality or related field
5 to 10 years of restaurant operations work experience, or related experience preferably within the hospitality industry
Proficiency with MS Office software including Word, Outlook and Excel; Ability to learn new applications.
