Front of House & Bar Team Member
Part Time | 15–25 hours per week | The Tipsy Fox
We’re looking for experienced, enthusiastic hospitality people to join our team at The Tipsy Fox as we head into our busy autumn and festive season.
This is a combined Front of House & Bar role. You’ll work across both our bar and floor — serving drinks, taking food orders, running tables and making sure every guest receives the friendly, attentive service we’re known for.
We have a brilliant team ready to welcome you, show you how we do things and provide plenty of training to get you up to our standards. However, as we’re heading into one of our busiest periods for service, previous hospitality experience across both bar and table service is essential.
What you’ll be doing
* Working across both the bar and floor throughout every shift – we don’t work in separate stations here. You’ll multitask, moving between serving drinks, taking orders, running food and looking after tables depending on where you’re needed.
* Taking food and drink orders and handling payments
* Preparing and serving beers, wines, spirits and other drinks
* Running food and looking after tables throughout their visit
* Creating a warm, friendly and welcoming experience for every guest
* Keeping the bar, restaurant and service areas clean and organised
* Supporting the wider team during busy services and events
* Getting stuck in wherever needed — we work as one team!
Who we’re looking for:
You’ll already have previous experience working in a pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment, including both bar and table service.
More importantly, you need to genuinely love hospitality. We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, takes pride in great service, stays positive when things get busy and wants to be part of a close, hardworking team.
Weekend availability is essential, along with flexibility to work evenings, bank holidays and throughout the festive period. This doesn’t mean you’ll work every weekend, evening or bank holiday, but good availability is essential so we can share these shifts fairly across the team.
Hours & progression:
This is a part-time position of approximately 15–25 hours per week.
There is plenty of opportunity for the role to grow. Once fully trained, there may be opportunities for increased hours and further progression, particularly as we move into our busier summer season.
What we offer
* Competitive rates of pay
* Share of staff tips
* 25% staff discount on food and drink
* Ongoing training and development
* Flexible working hours
* Opportunities to progress and increase hours
* A friendly, supportive team
* A busy, varied workplace where no two shifts are quite the same.
If you already have hospitality experience, love looking after people and are equally comfortable behind the bar and out on the floor, we’d love to hear from you.
