About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in leading your Coffee House alongside the General Manager.
You'll help create an environment where people love coming to work and customers love coming back. From leading shifts and coaching your team to driving standards and supporting business performance, you'll be involved in every aspect of the operation.
This is more than simply running shifts, it's about developing people, building an engaged team and helping deliver the exceptional hospitality that Trading Post is known for.

A Day in the Life
As an Assistant Manager, you'll:
· Lead shifts that deliver exceptional hospitality and consistently high operational standards.
· Coach, support and motivate your team to perform at their best.
· Work alongside the General Manager to achieve sales, labour and profitability targets.
· Help recruit, onboard and develop new team members.
· Build strong relationships with customers and create memorable guest experiences.
· Ensure company standards are consistently maintained across service, food safety, cleanliness and presentation.
· Use your initiative to solve problems quickly and confidently.
· Support stock management, ordering and daily operational planning.
· Lead by example, creating a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll:
· Lead confident, well-organised shifts where both the team and customers have a great experience.
· Build a motivated team that delivers consistently high standards.
· Develop team members through regular coaching, feedback and encouragement.
· Support the General Manager in achieving commercial and operational goals.
· Take ownership of challenges and confidently make decisions that support the business.
· Help create a Coffee House where customers receive exceptional service on every visit.

Previous experience
We're looking for someone with:
· Experience leading or supervising a team in a busy customer-facing environment.
· Strong people management and coaching skills.
· Experience delivering high standards of customer service.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
· Commercial awareness and an understanding of business performance.
Bonus points if you have:
· Experience managing labour, stock or KPIs.
· Experience recruiting and onboarding new team members.
· Previous specialty coffee experience.
· A desire to progress into a General Manager or wider leadership role.
