We are looking for someone with roastery experience, a huge passion for coffee and an equally keen eye for detail to join a fast growing and dedicated team.

The role will involve a high level of roasting, roaster maintenance and cleaning.

We pride ourselves on showcasing roasting to the public and are looking for Roasters that are keen to share their passion, engaging with guests and presenting the brand while they work. 

Essential skills:

·       Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with a wide range of people from different backgrounds. 

·       Organised, attention to detail and Flexibility to a busy work environment. 

·       Positive attitude and ability to maintain energy for periods of time when working with groups of people.

·       Able to work to tight deadlines completing administrative tasks, including the use of Outlook Excel and Word. 

·       High level of familiarity in hospitality and/or specialty food or beverage.

Required Experience:

·       You will be expected to understand and have a good level of experience in the roasting process.

·       Previous proven experience in coffee roasting and/or production. Experience working in an environment with industrial machinery. 

·       A good knowledge of the coffee industry.

Role responsibilities:

As a production Roaster your main responsibilities will include completing daily roasting according to requirements with skill progression delivered by the Senior and Head Roasters. Create the best expression of each coffee and hitting the roast profile. 

Taking care of the roaster’s maintenance and upkeep Operating the production lines from green coffee to end retail product and its deployment internally and externally to the company. Maintain constant coffee knowledge and engaging with the Coffee community.

Being friendly, approachable, and empathetic are all qualities that you should bring to the role.

Your main place of work will be in Brighton and you will also be roasting in our coffee houses within Sussex.
