Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: NIGHT PORTERS
Job Purpose: You will work either day or night shift on rotation and support the Guest Services team to ensure the delivery of an exceptional experience to all guests staying within MacLeod House & Lodge.
Reports to: Hotel & Operations Manager
Department: Guest Services
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Guest check in and check out
• Dealing with guest luggage
• Evening/late night food and beverage service including room dining
• Setting up the restaurant and public areas for service
• General responsibility for MacLeod House & Lodge during night shifts ensuring relevant health and safety checks are carried out and buildings are secure
• Dealing with all guest enquiries ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times
Requirements for the role:
• Previous experience in a similar role or within a hotel operation would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for delivering an exceptional guest service
• Ability to resolve queries in a proactive, practical and positive manner
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Positive and flexible approach to work (week-end and evening work will be required)
• Full UK driving licence
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
