JOB DESCRIPTION: DAY PORTER
Job Purpose: You will work day shift to support the Guest Services team to ensure the delivery of an exceptional experience to all guests staying within MacLeod House & Lodge.
Reports to: Guest Services Manager
Department: Guest Services
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Guest check in and check out
• Dealing with guest luggage
• Evening/late night food and beverage service including room dining
• Setting up the restaurant and public areas for service
• General responsibility for MacLeod House & Lodge during night shifts ensuring relevant health and safety checks are carried out and buildings are secure
• Dealing with all guest enquiries ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times
Requirements for the role:
• Previous experience in a similar role or within a hotel operation would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for delivering an exceptional guest service
• Ability to resolve queries in a proactive, practical and positive manner
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Positive and flexible approach to work (week-end and evening work will be required)
• Full UK driving licence
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
