Food & Beverage Waitperson – 6–12 Month Placement
Trump Turnberry, Scotland, is delighted to welcome applications from enthusiastic and talented students looking to gain valuable industry experience as part of a 6–12 month placement.
As a Food & Beverage Waitperson, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a world-renowned luxury resort, working alongside an experienced team to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. This placement will provide hands-on experience across Food & Beverage, helping you to build your confidence, knowledge and understanding of working within the luxury hospitality industry.
Position Scope
- Assist in delivering a high-quality Food & Beverage service to all guests.
- Provide friendly, attentive and professional service throughout the guest experience.
- Develop a strong knowledge of all Food & Beverage products available within your department.
- Take and deliver guest orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to guest requests and assist in resolving any questions or concerns.
- Understand and respond appropriately to the individual cultural needs and expectations of our guests.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through upselling and additional revenue opportunities.
- Communicate and work effectively with colleagues across all departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain a positive, professional and welcoming approach at all times.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and standards.
- Take an active interest in learning about Food & Beverage operations and developing your hospitality skills.
- Support your colleagues and contribute positively to the overall performance of the team.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by your manager.
Qualification Standards
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
- Ability to communicate confidently in English.
- A friendly, approachable and positive attitude, with a genuine desire to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a luxury hospitality environment.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
- Ability to understand and respond to the needs of different guests.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience within a 4- or 5-star environment is desirable, but full training and support will be provided.
