Project Manager


Description
This Los Angeles based position will help to manage client relationships, oversee logistics and project coordination for all aspects of the business. From creating custom programs for new hotel openings, to managing the re-orders for operating properties, to helping to implement new service standards and culture initiatives for hotels around the country, the Project Coordinator will be a valuable asset to a fast-growing company, with exposure to all facets of the hospitality industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day operations; including but not limited to, planning meetings and appointments, responding to inquiries, organizing data and information, and providing administrative support
• Research and analyze industry data, with strong understanding of openings and transitions throughout the hospitality industry
• Develop full understanding of the product development and production process
• Manages production process and communicates daily with vendors, both overseas and domestically, to ensure projects are tracking as planned, shipping complete and on time
• Tracks and oversees Open Orders report with designated teams
• Communicates with client on all requirements and then coordinates all expectations to factories
• Manages production sample process, tracking samples from factories and ensuring samples meet quality standards and deadlines
• Ensures samples are received and shipped to customers in order to meet deadlines
• Creates purchase orders for finished products and ensures on time to all clients
• Communicates daily with overseas vendors to answer any queries and concerns they may have with a specific item, account, finished product
• Tracks order status and delivery schedules
• Communicates frequently with factories and clients on any scheduling conflicts, with recommended solutions
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives for production scheduling process and information flow
• Manages all inventory tracking and consumption agreements
• Ability to manage complete client relationship from ongoing needs, billing inquiries, reorders, order tracking and delivery

Knowledge/Skills/Experience: 
• Passion for hospitality and the hotel industry, with willingness to travel as needed
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Creative and ability to develop and contribute ideas
• Experience in vendor communication, costing, cost negotiation, vendor evaluation and sourcing
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate demands, communicate status appropriately, and maintain a high level of operational transparency and accountability.
• Full proficient understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint (ability to create, update and format data for tracking and reporting)
• Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficient in QuickBooks a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strategic thinker with great attitude to drive business
• Spanish and Chinese language skills a plus
• Experience with logistics and operations a plus
