Description
VR World is looking for bar staff to join us while we build the future of social entertainment!
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the below:
Serve and prepare all cocktails for the bar and floor
Pull all wines necessary for guests
Manage customers seated/standing in the bar area
Manage drink transfers and all financial transactions at the bar
Provide a timely greeting to all guests
Prepare bar area for service and maintain a clean work area and station
The ideal candidate will have the following:
A minimum of 5 years of hospitality experience in a setting that has similar quality and service standards, with at least 2 years bartending
Experience with wine and beverage sales and service
Adheres to the philosophy of being “Guest-Centered” by responding to the guest requests with imagination, sincerity, and a willingness to please
Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills
Possess outstanding beverage product knowledge
Basic math and computation skills are required
Must be able to maintain professionalism and composure in stressful and high-pressure situations
Ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of POS systems
Ability to have a flexible schedule and be able to work on nights, weekends, and or holidays

We sought to create New York's first and only venue that blends emerging technology with nightlife through a tightly curated and personalized experience. Over the past 2 years, VR World has quickly become an NYC cultural institution, owed greatly to our staff of VR guides and tech wizards. Throughout our growth, we've maintained a strong emphasis on being a community hub for the adventurous, uncompromising, and open-minded.
In January 2020, we will move to a new flagship venue, conveniently located next door to the current space. The new VR World will set the stage for national expansion through a revolutionary presentation of immersive media.
