ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Production Manager of Fabric with Under Canvas, you are responsible for building a fabric cut/sew operation in our Belgrade, MT facility. In this role you will build and lead the canvas production teams in all aspects of the business.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure deliveries are on time and accurately priced.
• With the support of the Procurement, Logistics and Design/Development teams you will approach all problems with an open mind and work to quickly resolve them.
• Maintain very open and honest communication with the teams you lead as well as the structure and business that supports you.
• Manage a fabric cut/sew operation that specializes in products for Under Canvas camps with a strong history and commitment to USA manufacturing.
• Quickly identify problems and issues and work to resolve them while maintaining production levels and quality standards.
• Approach problems with an open mind to consider all solutions.
• Oversee and support the hiring, promotion and termination of team members as well as provide support and feedback against performance metrics.
• Coordinate, lead, and support your team on shipping, receiving, payroll, benefits administration, raw material, finished good inventory, and inline QC.
• Communicate and cooperate with Procurement, Logistics, and Design/Development as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 3-5 years of management experience in a cut/sew factory with a strong business understanding of how a brand-owned factory works.
• Knowledge and understanding of required equipment, floor layout, production schedules, and job roles required for cut/sew operation.
• Extreme curiosity and interest in “how things work” coupled with a creative mindset for improving process and solving in-line challenges.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with an understanding of how to lead and motivate a large and multi-functional team.
• Proven honest and open style of communication ensuring that all details, no matter how difficult, are quickly and correctly expressed.
• Handle complex interpersonal relationships and issues fairly, ensuring that both the team members and the company are well represented.
• Ability to positively influence peers and leaders.
• Ability to model excellent customer service for both internal and external clients.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to explain complex information in easy to understand terms.
• Ability to partner across the organization at all levels.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills: ability to multi-task, maintain proper focus, and excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and directed.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
