Maintenance Manager – Whitbarrow Resort - Live in

Lake District | £35,000 per annum (reviewed after 6 months)

Whitbarrow Resort is a luxury holiday destination in the Lake District, offering stylish lodges, leisure facilities (including pools and a spa), and beautifully landscaped grounds. We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance and grounds team, keeping the resort safe, efficient, and looking its best for every guest.

The Role

• Lead and motivate a multi-skilled maintenance & grounds team
• Deliver preventative maintenance (PPM) and minimise downtime
• Oversee and perform repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, general building)
• Manage pool plant operations, ensuring compliance and water quality
• Control budgets, contractors, and suppliers
• Provide on-call support for emergencies, including evenings/weekends

About You

• Strong multi-trade skills with leadership experience in hospitality, leisure, or resort maintenance
• Knowledge of PPM, health & safety, and compliance standards
• Pool Plant Operator certification desirable (or willing to achieve)
• Full UK driving licence and physically fit for hands-on work
