Job SummaryWe are looking for enthusiastic Servers for our Lunch shifts. The Server provides warm, attentive, and professional service that creates memorable dining experiences for every guest. As the primary point of contact in the dining room, the Server is responsible for guiding guests through the menu, accurately entering and delivering orders, and maintaining the high standards of hospitality that define Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. Attention to detail, strong communication, and a passion for service are essential in this role.
Essential Job FunctionsGreet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders with accuracy and enthusiasm.
Enter orders into the POS system correctly and promptly.
Ensure all dishes and beverages are delivered in a timely manner and meet service standards.
Confirm order details with chefs or bartenders when clarification is needed.
Provide thoughtful recommendations using suggestive selling techniques (daily specials, cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.).
Consistently follow all steps of service to ensure a polished and cohesive guest experience.
Monitor guest satisfaction, anticipate needs, and respond promptly to requests.
Present checks, process payments, and handle cash, credit cards, and POS transactions accurately.
Assist fellow servers and support staff during busy periods.
Help arrange tables or reset dining spaces for larger parties or special needs.
Maintain clean work areas, complete required side work, and uphold all cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of fine dining or upscale casual dining server experience.
Familiarity with POS systems.
Strong knowledge of dining room procedures, service flow, and guest interaction standards.
Ability to stand and move quickly for long periods.
Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
Ability to remain calm, poised, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional guest service skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Basic math skills and comfort handling payments and POS transactions.
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
Regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds.
Visual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Exposure to heat, steam, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.
Indoor work split between the dining room and kitchen.
Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment with varying noise levels.
Lunch, weekend, and holiday shifts required.
